We run in-person daytime art classes for adults. Our courses cover a range of art mediums including pencils, charcoal, watercolour and acrylic and each session focuses on a unique project designed to teach you new techniques and expand your skills.

We provide art materials, tools and references so you don’t need to buy expensive art supplies to join in. All you need is pencils and paper, which you can purchase from us when you enrol (or bring your own).

What to expect

Live demonstrations and everything set up for you before you arrive.

We set up everything before you arrive with all of the art materials, tools and references needed for the project. Your experienced tutor will introduce the project then give a live demonstration before you tackle the project yourself.

Printed guides are provided to help you and your tutor will give personal one-to-one tuition as you progress.

Refreshments are available throughout the session to fuel your creativity.

At the end of the lesson you’ll have a unique piece of art you can show your friends and family. You also get to keep your printed guides and have access to a video of the live demonstration so you can revisit them in your own time.

Foundational skills in core mediums along with exploration of other medium and techniques.

We cover a range of mediums and techniques in our classes. Every term of our 10-Week Art Course will have at least one project using pencil, one using charcoal, three using watercolour and three using acrylic, but we also cover other mediums and techniques for you to explore too. Each term varies.

The classes have been a total revelation! Having not drawn at all since school, I had no expectations of producing anything even half way decent. The ladies are terrific and so encouraging, the tuition is excellent and with the handouts and video each week, there is no excuse not to get stuck in. If, like me, you are slow in class, you can always complete your piece at home and if you don't have the necessary tools, the 'shop' can supply your every need at a very good price. We have all learned so much and improved tremendously - and each and every picture has its own merit. It's so interesting to see everyone's take on the same subject. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and everyone is keen to return. So give it a go. What's not to love?

Have just finished the second series of sessions. As an almost complete beginner I had no idea what to expect.
I found that I had a genuine welcome from the friendly team. The tutorials, which are available online afterwards are really helpful. Especially as they allow you to catch up if you have to miss a session.
It was great to be introduced to a wide variety of materials, and techniques ( including ‘hacks’ for the less experienced !

This is just the best art Class- it’s really well organised and everything is laid out ready for you. You do not need to bring materials or equipment. The things provided are top quality. The demonstration structure allows for you to be creative but gives you great help also. There is a short demonstration which is videoed and sent to you by email later . This is very helpful if you do have to miss a Class, and gives you tuition at home. I have been amazed at the wonderful art I am creating. The ambience of everyone there and the wonderful teaching is really pleasant, it’s super friendly but also businesslike. I am definitely joining up again next term. This is a real happy place for me. You can park easily, and there’s a coffee mid-morning. It’s all a 5* experience.
