I so enjoy Creative Art Classes! I have been coming for years. There is always a new challenge as we are constantly exposed to new techniques and different media. What is more the class cultures a welcoming non judgmental environment where all share in their learning. Kathy

Having always been terrified and with no confidence in my doing any art I plucked up courage and have now just finished my first term. These classes are so well organised and the teaching is fantastic. Good clear demonstrations, lots of encouragement, equipment provided and a really warm atmosphere. Thank you Carrie and team for a brilliant first term and for anyone looking for an art course I totally recommend this one!

A brilliant Art Class! I have experienced an exciting variety of weekly Art projects , using a wide range of creative mediums. Our tutors are extremely proficient and encouraging for all our levels of ability. The atmosphere of Class is stimulating, friendly and addictive! I can't wait for our Summer Classes to begin again in May 2026!

A great course, with friendly people and encouraging tutors. All the materials are provided which is such a benefit, no more buying paints etc you only use occasionally. The classes are very varied and you get to try things you would have never thought of. I have learnt so much in the last three terms. UPDATE - As I have just signed up for my twelfth course, they must be doing something right. I am still learning and expanding my abilities.

Wednesday mornings are my favourite time of the week. There is such a lovely atmosphere and everyone encourages each other. The staff are brilliant and patient as well as very experienced. We have a demo to begin the morning and then we get stuck in. There’s a great variety of projects across the 10 week term, from pencil and charcoal to watercolor and acrylics and so many different techniques. I’ve learnt so much- I love Wednesdays!

A very well organised and run art experience for students of all ages and standards.All materials are provided and of exceptional standard making learning a pleasure. Demonstrations and work sheets are easy to follow and the posted videos are always there for you to follow if you want to review the session at home and review for future use, they are always yours. I've had a great time over the last 10 weeks and increased my confidence using new media and enjoyed the whole process in a friendly atmosphere. Thank you, looking forward to next challenges in May.

I love my mornings at the Newbury group. Our tutor Carolyn is amazing and being able to paint for that time every week is so good for the soul (as long as the work is going well!). I’ve met some lovely people and there’s great craic too 😀

This is just the best Art Class- it’s really well organised and everything is laid out ready for you. You do not need to bring materials or equipment. The things provided are top quality. The demonstration structure allows for you to be creative but gives you great help also. There is a short demonstration which is also videoed and will be emailed to you later . This is very helpful if you do have to miss a class, and gives you tuition at home. I have been amazed at the wonderful art I am creating. The ambience of everyone there and the wonderful teaching is really pleasant, it’s super friendly but also businesslike. I am definitely joining up again next term. This is a real happy place for me. You can park easily, and there’s a coffee mid-morning. It’s all a 5* experience. The tutors are really experienced at working with a mixed ability group. Sometimes the tasks are differentiated, and sometimes beginners and improvers work together. It’s a really encouraging environment, with the right amount of help and the right amount of being left to get on.

Very good class with nearly all materials provided. The course is well structured & the tutors are very encouraging. The lessons are very enjoyable.

The classes have been a total revelation! Having not drawn at all since school, I had no expectations of producing anything even half way decent. The ladies are terrific and so encouraging, the tuition is excellent and with the handouts and video each week, there is no excuse not to get stuck in. If, like me, you are slow in class, you can always complete your piece at home and if you don't have the necessary tools, the 'shop' can supply your every need at a very good price. We have all learned so much and improved tremendously - and each and every picture has its own merit. It's so interesting to see everyone's take on the same subject. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and everyone is keen to return. So give it a go. What's not to love?

Found this class online. I have never done art before but have found a new way of creating. I love every minute a great class with great people. I have learnt so much. The best thing I've ever done in later life. Found a new way of expressing myself. Fantastic!

Carrie and her team are extremely supportive, friendly and encouraging wherever you may be on your creative journey. The sessions are well structured using a step by step guide with a variety of different mediums and in the company of like minded people. Great fun. Would highly recommend.

Have just finished the second series of sessions. As an almost complete beginner I had no idea what to expect. I found that I had a genuine welcome from the friendly team. The tutorials, which are available online afterwards are really helpful. Especially as they allow you to catch up if you have to miss a session. It was great to be introduced to a wide variety of materials, and techniques ( including ‘hacks’ for the less experienced ! I’ve been pleased - and often impressed with what I have been able to produce, with the help and advice from the team. I will be signing up for the next term.

I have wanted to attend an art class for years and I'm so glad I signed up for Creative Art Farnham. I have learnt so much in just one term and I now feel confident to try different mediums myself. The tutors are excellent and great fun. Everything is provided including step by step instructions and a video of the lesson as well as fun, lots of laughs and biscuits.

Really well run course, well taught well organised and extremely friendly. Full of encouragement and detailed teaching. I have really learnt a lot, and it’s been good to go back to basics and have guided teaching- and it’s great fun!

Inspiring, creative, art lessons which are structured to provide a demonstration of various art mediums allowing the student to gain knowledge whilst in a calming space and to explore their individual styles by drawing or painting a different subject matter over ten weeks. I have absolutely loved each lesson. It has allowed me the time to let go and dedicate three hours to one of my loves, art exploration. The only criticism, is the time goes far too quick!

I have already signed up for the next course after having completed the first. The tuition is excellent for people like me who have never been taught but like to have a go!

Absolutely love these classes! I joined with no experience at all and now feel confident enough to put pen/paint to paper and see what happens. The teacher and staff are great and the classes are well put-together and fun and it's a friendly atmosphere. I've actually learned things too 😁. Highly recommend this course.

Although I have been doing art for many years, this was by far the best experience I have had. Everyone feels included no matter what level they are at. I am going back for another term. Also made some amazing friends

I had a wonderful experience with Creative Art Farnham. The moment I arrived I received a warm welcome from the team and the atmosphere was very relaxed and friendly. Each week we started with a demonstration which was so instructive even I as a beginner got a good result by the end of the afternoon. I learnt so much and we received handouts each week so that we could refer to them later. The subjects covered so many aspects - drawing in pencil and charcoal, watercolour and acrylics. Everything was so well organised from paints to tea and biscuits. I’ve definitely got more skills than I had 10 weeks ago. Thank you, ladies!

Joining the Creative Art Classes is the best thing I have done, I have learned so much in the two years I have been going and have attempted lots of subjects I would never had tried and have really enjoyed. The classes are very warm and friendly and we have lots of fun and give each other lots of encouragement

I have been attending these classes for the past 2 years and always really look forward to the start of the next term. Each week in the term we are given new medium and new topics to practice on, this gives me the inspiration I need to then work at home on my own projects.

I have just completed a 10 week course with Carolyn and Lyn both who are very good and knowledgeable artists. Each week the lesson begins with a 15 - 20 min. live demo projected onto a large screen. This is accompanied with step by step hand-outs which are yours to keep. I was a beginner on my course together with 3 other students.After the initial demo we were taken aside and given simpler work together with extra training and hacks to make the work less frightening. The first week was pencil drawing by Van Gogh which I completed in 3 hours plus some extra time at home. I am so pleased I found this course and have booked my next course. I would highly recommend this to both beginners and experienced artists.

The classes are so enjoyable and designed to take you out of your comfort zone and try out a variety of techniques. All art materials and equipment needed are provided.

I have been going to Creative Art classes in Newbury for a year now, having started as a completely new beginner and have thoroughly enjoyed every one. The weekly demonstrations are amazing and it’s really useful to be given the link to the recording to see it again later. Over the year we have covered a huge range of subjects and media and I have learned a tremendous amount. The atmosphere in the class warm and friendly and Carrie and Carolyn couldn’t be more supportive.

The highlight of my week - a wonderful art group with the right balance of encouragement, structured projects with lots of variety in a friendly, warm, relaxed atmosphere. The tutors are amazing. Whether you’re a beginner or returner, you’ll find something of interest each week, it’s a great way to experiment and try new approaches … and make some friends along the way too!

Creative Art Classes, Newbury are a friendly bunch of lovely people. The course is well structured yet relaxed and informal. Each week you learn about a new technique and media which means you get to try out lots of things during the course. Led by inspirational and highly knowledgeable teachers, it doesn’t matter if you’re a beginner or have some experience, everyone works at their own speed. I've learnt lots and can see an improvement in my drawing and confidence after every course. All of this keeps me coming back for more!

The end of yet another term of art with Creative Art Classes and, as always, it has been a joy. Lovely people, fun and varied topics, using a wide variety of materials and methods. From never having done any proper art lessons, I have learnt a huge amount in a short time & now have the confidence to 'give it a go'. Great lessons, fun group, friendly & enthusiastic teachers & well thought out curriculum. Highly recommend the course.

I have been coming to Creative Art Classes in Horsham for 2.5 years, I enjoy the classes so much getting immersed for 3 hours. All equipment is included and the teachers Nikki & Julie are so supportive. Also enjoyed making new friends.

I would thoroughly recommend Carrie’s classes on a mon morning. The classes are very informative shown by artist tutor Caroline showing details on a large screen and also providing a video in which you can study in your own time at home. Lyn is flitting around seeing to our needs and helping to put us right if we get stuck, she also is a wonderful artist. We use a selection of mediums and have painted pictures I could have only dreamt about I have made a number of friends on this course, and my intention is to carry on .

I love Monday morning at Creative Art Classes. Always a varied curriculum and fabulous tuition covering a variety of techniques and media. Super people and very professionally organised and run. I've signed up to continue in the Autumn because the next curriculum is yet again, very enticing and has new challenges for me.

We have a fabulous time in class with great instruction, interesting projects (that push me out of my comfort zone but surprise me know much I enjoy them), all matials provided are the best quality. The class is always welcoming, friendly, and encouraging to new members. It is my happy place of relaxation and shutting out the world wilst creating something just for me. These courses are run by enthusiastic people for anyone of any ability to enjoy and learn. I have just signed up for my third consecutive course and I have yet to be disappointed. Come join the fun and laugh learn..Trust the process!

I've done 5 terms now and look forward to the lessons each week. Tutors give easy to follow instructions, everyone is very friendly and is suitable from complete beginners to improvers. I thoroughly recommend these classes. Edit - Another year of lessons and still thoroughly enjoying the classes, the subject matter is so varied to suit all tastes. I have gone from complete beginner to now having the confidence to take on commissions. I would definitely recommend these classes to anyone who would like to learn how to draw and paint.

I have a lifelong love of art, but had lapsed with my creative efforts. I decided to take the plunge and join Creative Art Classes two terms ago, and am so pleased I did. The courses are varied and absorbing and, although great for all abilities, I have regained self belief in my own artistic abilities and have produced work I am proud of. The standard of tuition is excellent and the people are lovely!

Highly recommend this class! Everyone is friendly and helpful. The teachers are very knowledgeable and explain things clearly. I noticed a big improvement in my art after one course but keep going back as it is so much fun!

I so look forward to my Monday afternoon of escapism 3 hours of getting lost in colour and shapes, total therapy to be recommended.
