Creative Art Classes are a great opportunity to develop art skills under brilliant guidance, but without being presciptive allowing everyone to develop their own style. The courses use a wide range of materials and subjects so pushing you in directions you might not have taken, which is wonderful and enlighening. Class is my happy place to just submerge myself in the art and forget everything else in a lovely caring and supportive space without any judgement or competitiveness, I love it.

I would like to share how enjoyable the creative art course is. I am recently retired and wanted something to fill my time. It is a very relaxed and rewarding class where you, learn about, and work with multiple media to create your own pieces of art. The course caters for all abilities. The tutors are knowledgeable and very supportive. I have seen my work develop and improved hugely over the last year or so. It is a class I look forward to every week and would recommend it highly.

My favourite day of the week since I started this art class several years ago. I hadn't touched a brush since school days. It's such fun, the programme is so well organised with fantastic supporting professionals and on-line back up instruction sheets, helping us produce a batch of work which frankly astounds us all when we put our brushes, charcoals, pastels or pencils down. The best bit is seeing everyone else's work at the end of the class, so many different styles and results. Everyone is so encouraging of each other, it's an eye opener what can be done. I've made some really good friends in the class and have unwavering admiration for the talented and supremely helpful tutors who assist us. A must on my calendar every year!

I love attending the Creative Art Classes. What makes Creative Art Classes stand out is the excellent tuition and organisation provided. For example: each week students will receive the Class Demonstration which is videoed, together with the Lesson Prompt sheet, a step by step handout and the demo reference material. I also enjoy the Facebook page which as a student I can access to see everyone’s completed masterpieces. It doesn’t matter if you are a newbie or have years of experience, it is a lovely friendly, supportive environment in which to learn whilst trying different mediums and techniques, have fun and is a highlight of my week.

[I] would definitely recommend this course held at Viables in Basingstoke. We are a very friendly group and tuition is very well prepared showing step by step guides especially as it is also videoed so we are able to go through it at home at our own pace. Tuesday morning art class is the highlight of my week. It's friendly and relaxed, we all keep coming back. Carrie and her team are great and so helpful , wether you're an artist already or absolute beginner, you are encouraged to show your own flair. Coffee and biscuits thrown in. I will be back.

I just wanted to drop you a line to say how much I have enjoyed my first 2 terms of Creative Art Class. I was so nervous when I first arrived, as I'm not at all talented, but received such a warm welcome from Carrie and Carolyn, it immediately put me at ease. The atmosphere in class is so positive and supportive and the materials which are provided and the teaching videos and additional handouts are of a really high quality. The wide variety of different medium we work in throughout the term gives all of us the chance to determine the area where we are most comfortable, but also encourages us to try different types of art, such as steam punk. Thank you so much for all of your help and I look forward to seeing you next term. Keep doing what you are doing!

I just love Creative Art Classes! I feel have learned so much and I am always impressed with the fact that there’s something different to learn every week. Not only are the demonstrations extremely informative but it’s so helpful to be able to rewatch the video once you get home. It’s also good to be able to have the worksheets which are a keepsake that you can refer back to should you wish to repeat the lesson in your own time.Thank you to all of you for the time and effort you put in to creating such an amazing course. Monday afternoons wouldn’t be the same for me without my art classes!.

When I look back at my ‘art’ before I joined the classes I can see how much I have improved. This is due to the different techniques we are taught to use with different mediums and subjects. Whilst the task each week sometimes appears daunting we all manage to successfully create our own versions and it is a fun session with great teaching and help from your team. A great experience and I whole heartedly recommend it.

Enrolling in Creative Art Classes was a personal choice for me, a decision to pursue something enjoyable and fulfilling. Despite my passion for creativity, I had never explored painting or drawing before, so I decided to give it a shot. Fast forward to today, I am currently in my forth term under the guidance of Carrie and Carolyn, and I cannot stress enough the positive impact this course has had on my mental and emotional well-being. Through these classes, I have gained valuable knowledge and skills, and most importantly, the confidence to explore and experiment with my artistic abilities.

These classes are the best. I was never good at art in school, but the guidance, help and encouragement of everyone involved from tutors to fellow students makes you feel you can paint and draw anything. Every term is completely different, and as all the materials are provided there is no limit to the types of art you can produce.

I’ve been attending Creative Art classes in Horsham for just over two years. I was a complete novice when I started but when I look back over my work, I can see how much I’ve improved in that time, thanks to the encouragement of the friendly and very patient tutors. If you want to spend three hours a week in a relaxing and mindful way and produce better artwork than you ever thought you were capable of whilst making new friends, this is definitely the course for you.

Thank you Creative Art Classes, Newbury for getting us to explore different media and ideas. I love my seahorse steam punk and would never have done something like that at home. This art group is fantastic. Carrie always asks for feedback and is open to listening to ideas and thoughts from us all. No small task I’m sure as it must be quite diverse. Each week something different or challenging- everything set out ready to start. They are a great team with a great sense of humour. Thank you!!!!

I really look forward to my Thursday afternoon art classes. Each term they deliver a course that is varied and stimulating and we find ourselves working with different mediums, techniques and subject matter. This has enabled me to understand more about my preferred style and to learn new skills. At the beginning of each session, a step by step demonstration is delivered that works well for the range of experience of participants in the class. Carrie records the demonstration and sends that to everyone afterwards which means we can refer back to what was covered. The atmosphere is relaxed, the session is fun and I really recommend the course.

What can I say about Creative Art classes? First, this is by far the best Art class I have ever attended. I have been in the class since Carrie started Creative Art classes and over all that time our lessons have been structured, varied, really interesting and it’s a course where you build on previous tuition rather than have just sessions. The background information and preparation is superb, we always have access to a lot of art supplies in each class and Carrie and all the staff are lovely, friendly, talented and so supportive. I would thoroughly recommend this class to anyone whether beginner or more experienced.

All of us on a Thursday morning in Newbury have been with you for some years and we would all say the same the class is friendly, happy, welcoming, covers a wide variety of subjects and we get to use a good range of media. Demonstrations are very clear, well presented and we learn something new each week. The individual support during the lesson are encouraging and focused to develop better skills and understanding. The environment and facilities are comfortable warm and clean. This gives an excellent experience that we all look forward to each week. On a personal level having now lost approx 75% of my useful sight with its inherent issues I was so pleased that you encouraged and welcomed me to continued to coming to class and enjoy my art work for what is for me a safe and happy environment and this means the world to me. My wife bought me Creative Art Classes lessons as a Christmas present 2022. I hadn’t done art since I was at school, but I soon got into the swing of things. I’ve rejoined every term since then. The tuition along with the support we get is outstanding. I have throughly enjoyed learning so many different aspects of art. We have such a lovely group on a Monday morning who I now consider as friends.

I was encouraged to do something creative such as Art by my younger daughter! I have now attended the course in Basingstoke for a year or so, and as a newbie ( I've never done Art before), I was well led by the tutors who are very good teachers, and patient! I have learned quite a bit about the different forms of art and think I've improved thanks to them. I would recommend this course to anyone of any standard , and actually have members of my family wanting to frame some of my work!!

A great course, with friendly people and encouraging tutors. All the materials are provided which is such a benefit, no more buying paints etc you only use once. The classes are very varied and you get to try things you would have never thought of. I have learnt so much and continue to enjoy every lesson (even when it's out of my comfort zone).

The different subjects that we have tackled are amazing, even though a few I would have never dreamed of doing have inspired me and have really enjoyed especially the Steampunk which I had never heard of before which we did last term. It is such a friendly group and everyone is so helpful I can't wait until the classes start again in May XXX

I thoroughly enjoy going to Creative Art Classes where you get a good level of tuition which is backed up by printouts showing techniques and step by step instruction. The classes are friendly and relaxed where everybody is supportive of your efforts. You start by learning the basics of drawing and art so that you progress and can produce a decent picture. Creative Art Classes teaches the use of a variety of media such as graphite, charcoal, soft pastels watercolour and acrylic. I like this because you soon find your favourite media; although mine changes according to how well each picture turns out. If you miss a class for any reason you receive a video that shows you the techniques needed and printouts so that you can do the work at home. I can't wait until next term and see everyone again at Tuesday morning class in Horsham.

I have been coming to Creative Art Classes for several years now and I just love it. The venue is ideal and the tutors are knowledgeable, friendly and always very helpful. I have learned so much and these classes have introduced me to media I had never before tried, or even considered. Before starting these courses I used only pencils and watercolour. Now, my toolkit also contains charcoal, pastel, gouache, fine line pens and my new favourite – because of what I can achieve with it – acrylic. The classes are also a great social; there is always plenty of laughter and chat going around; oh, and custard creams at break times.
